Sarra Laajimi tries to combine her academic training in literature and theory with her passion for painting. By focusing on the private space and depicting it in ways that accentuate point of view and standpoint, she aims to convey her personal experience of enclosed settings in oil paintings. Playing on shading and lighting, she hopes that these settings transcent their mere spaciality and become a symbol of temporality, narrative, and universal experience.
